Rest is so important

I don't know what happened in our culture to let us think it's lame to rest. How many hours of sleep do you get on average a night? What percentage of your day do you spend "working"? It became very clear to me recently. When God gave the human race the 10 commandments, he spent 4 words saying:

"You shall not murder."

But spent 3 long sentences commanding us to rest:

"Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. For six days you shall labour and do all your work. But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work— you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns."

I don't know about you, but I know I "love" sleep. When you're tired and you get a chance to rest your eyes, it is a feeling like no other in the world.

Why is rest a good idea?
You perform better when you get rest. You create more memories and have better recall. You have a wider perspective and are more empathetic. You make better decisions and are more creative. You are more patient and less socially awkward. You enjoy tasks more when you're doing them. And simply put, you will literally die if you don't get it.
