Things you shouldn't screw up: Protect your company from yourself (part 4)

Every leader has personality flaws. As a leader you discover and know what your major personality flaws are - you have them, I guarantee it. If you have a hard time identifying them, ask a close friend or a mentor.

The point is, you need to isolate these flaws from your company because they will inhibit your ability to succeed. Try to put rules in place that protect your company from you. Partners are great accountability. Otherwise culture, discipline, and faith in God are your best counter measures. One thing that sucks about being on top is there is no human to look over you to keep you accountable. It sounds like a perk, but it requires a lot of discipline.
